As Head of the Board, Ms. Githere emphasized her commitment to inclusive leadership, encouraging open input from all Board members to ensure smooth governance.
“Iam proud of the Club, it is one of Kenya’s most prestigious Clubs and hope that its standards and reputation will be preserved for generations to come, “said Githere.
She expressed optimism and confidence that the Chairman’s Prize will be a successful and memorable event for all involved.
In a departure from tradition, the Chairman will not be competing on the day, choosing instead to walk the course, interact with members, sponsors, friends, guests and enjoy the occasion without the pressure of playing.
This tournament follows a similar one after the Club’s Lady Captain (Hilda Mugure) prize and the Club’s Captain (Omar Lewa) prize tournaments, who are all traditionally bowing out of office after serving their one-year term.
