GOLF NEWS-Elizabeth N’geny shines in Communications Authority of Kenya’s (CAK) tournament at Kericho.

Elizabeth N’geny carded an excellent count back score of 45 stable ford points to emerge the overall winner of the Communications of Kenya Authority (CAK) golf tournament played at Kericho golf club on Saturday.
The daylong 18 holes’ successful tournament that brought golfers from the home club and neighboring club was sponsored by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK).

The handicap 25 N’geny had tied on the same score with handicap 29 Judy Kinyanjui who was the runners up while handicap 17 Ben Kalya brought 44 points to win claim the Men winner spot and handicap 9 Wyclife Ayienda was the gross winner 79 gross.

The Division A winner was handicap 10 Collins Kipkurui on 37 points while the B division on 38 points and the Division C slot with 39 points were worn by handicap 25 Robert Langat and handicap 32 Frankline Kiplimo respectively.


Elsewhere at the Ruiru Sports club on the same day William Kamau playing off handicap 25 emerged the overall winner of the Captain’s (J.K. Muraguri) prize tournament also played on Saturday.


Wilson Thuo playing off handicap 18 was the Men winner while handicap 22 Gatama Gichini brought 40 points to win the runners up slot.
The lady winner on 43 points was handicap 20 Susan Kanyora and handicap 14 Sophie Mbochi on 40 points emerged the runners up and handicap 27 Jane Kanari remained third with 39 points.


Handicap 23 Bernard Kamau recorded 39 points to walk home with the best men prize and the same for the lady was scooped by handicap 32 Grace Wanjiku who had a score of 42 points.
