GOLF NEWS-German based Kenyan lady Golfer Masai proves her might teaming up with Husband Radtke to shine at Nyali Course in Mombasa;

-Event with 80 golfers was sponsored by the Club in preparation for the coming busy Golf season action from early next month;

German based Kenyan Lady Golfer Joyce Masai proved her might to claim glory at the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club Course in Mombasa County on Thursday.

Playing off handicap 9 Masai who is a Member of the Club and the Club’s former Lady Captain and currently based at the German’s Waldbrunnen Golf Club carded an excellent six over par 77 gross to emerge the Best  Gross winner in the Club’s Thursday Club nite.

“We are currently on holiday here in the Country and playing Golf here in my local home Club has always been a pleasure especially meeting with old friends in this excellent course. It’s also thrilling to be the winner and this shows that my Golf has improved and am looking forward to play even better in the coming tournaments, “said Masai.

Club Captain Dinesh Sasan said the daylong 18 holes tourney that brought together 80 golfers,was Sponsored by the Club in preparation for the Club’s forth coming busy Golf season from next month.

Handicap 26 Dr.Kibet Kikwai was the Individual winner on a count back score 40 points after tying on the same score with handicap 11 M.Walji who was the runners up while handicap 27 Petronilah Kalee  claimed the third spot on  39 points.

Sandra Mundia playing of handicap 18 carded 43 points to win the Guest prize and handicap 32 John Muraya with 40 points was the best high handicapper’s winner.

Joyce Masai again added another prize to her bag after winning the best first nine on 21 points and taking the best second nine on 23 points was handicap 30  Makena Mwige.

The Mixed Division one winner on 43 points was handicap 18 Sandrah Mundia while handicap 26 Dr.Kibet Kikwai on a count back score of 40 points was the runner up tying on the same score with third placed handicap 11 M.Walji.

German’s handicap 29 Stefan Radtke from Waldbrunnen Golf Club who is the husband to the Best Gross winner Masai,took control of the mixed division two category emerging the winner on 42 points.

The German who joins his Kenyan wife  is also on holiday here in Mombasa and was two points ahead of second placed handicap 32 John Muraya while  taking the third slot was handicap 31 General (Retired) P.M.Kariuki with a score of 37 points.
