The 2025 NCBA Lisle Shaw Memorial Interschool Golf Tournament concluded in spectacular fashion at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club on Friday, October 24, 2025, with Home School emerging as the overall Team Champions in the Main Category after an impressive collective display of consistency and composure on the course.
Organized by the Junior Golf Foundation Kenya (JGF) in partnership with NCBA Bank, the event brought together 88 junior golfers from 15 schools in one of the most competitive and prestigious inter-school golf events of the year.
In the Main Category, Home School claimed victory with a total score of 222 gross, led by strong performances from Tsevi Soni (71), Junaid Manji (71), Yuvraj Rajput (80) and Mwathi Gicheru (89). Peponi School secured the Runner-Up position with a team score of 238 gross, driven by Shashwat Harish’s outstanding round of 69, followed by solid efforts from Kahir Ladak (87), Rohini Shah (82), and Nkini Pasha (92). Braeburn Garden Estate rounded out the Top Three, finishing on 246 gross.
In the Subsidiary Category, Rusinga School captured the Team Winner title with a combined score of 142 gross, thanks to stellar performances from Jabali Kamau (73), Kamau Njuguna (83), and Ian Muriu (69). MLC Schools finished Runner-Up with 147 gross, followed closely by St. Ruth School in third place on 150 gross.
The individual honors went to Shashwat Harish, who carded an excellent gross score of 69 gross to claim the overall gross winner title, while Arav Patel took home the overall nett winner trophy with an impressive 65 nett.
Speaking after the event, JGF President Vincent Mukiri praised the players’ efforts and the tournament’s continued success saying, “The NCBA Lisle Shaw Memorial Interschool Tournament is more than just a competition, it’s a platform that brings schools together, even amidst their busy academic schedules, to experience teamwork, camaraderie, and golf at a high level. It reflects our continued effort to grow the game within schools, and we hope to see even more institutions across the country join future interschool tournaments. We are deeply grateful to NCBA Bank for their continued partnership and support in shaping this initiative.”
