The four-ball of Martin Murimi, Michael Mithika, Wilfred Itegi, and William Mbuthia returned a combined score of 153 points to be crowned the overall team winners of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour at the Migaa Golf Course over the weekend.
Peter Ng’ang’a, Mike Kamanu, Arnold Olyaro, and Joseph Gwandaru returned a combined score of 142 points to emerge as the second-best team at the event that was headlined by over 200 players from around the country.
Speaking after their victory, Martin Murimi said, “Today is such an incredible day here at the Migaa Golf Course. Handicap 32 Caroline Muriuki carded an excellent 42 stable ford points to emerge as the overall winner, beating William Mbuthia, who plays off handicap 22, who carded 41 points to be named the men’s winner.
Pam Nkirote, who plays off handicap 26, returned 41 points to be crowned the lady winner. Steve Mungemi won the longest drive award in the men’s category while Wairimu Gachiru claimed it in the ladies’ category.
Antony Mbadi was nearest to the pin in the men’s category, while Patsy Kihiu clinched it in the ladies’ category. Terra Saidimu, on the other hand, emerged as the guest winner.
Peter Ndichu, who plays off handicap 20, returned 37 stableford points to bag the staff category, beating handicap 16, David Kitheka, who carded 35 points to finish second.
The next leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour will be held at the Eldoret Golf Club on November 15 th, 2025.
