The NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Spring Season ended on Sunday with the Championship Tour held at the Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi County.
The event brought together 167 junior golfers with 113 boys and 54 girls aged between 5 and 18 years, competing across age-specific categories for both Tour Championship titles and Priority Status points.

Maahir Patel played 3 over par 75 gross to clinch 60 points and carried the day in the Boys 15-18 years’ category as Yolanda Yu banked maximum points to not only win at Muthaiga but also extend her total points tally to 230, finishing first in the girl’s standings.
Despite finishing fourth at Muthaiga and picking 22 points, Wahome Mutahi finished top in the Boys 15-18 years’ category with 222 points.
In the 13-14 age group, Amar Shar played one over par 73 gross to finish ahead of Peter Gathogo and Nawenxuan LI who played 6 and 8 over par respectively.
Shar went on to top the boys’ standings with 221 points, followed by Gathogo with 162 as Kagame Handa settled for third despite finishing fifth at Muthaiga.
In the girls’ category, Randy Turi clinched maximum points to topple Amani Muriithi at the top of the standings after finishing first ahead of Lael Mwangale and Esther Paul, with Muriithi settling for the fourth spot on Sunday.
Ashley Muyela produced the only under-par score for the day after carding -3 without dropping a stroke in the front nine to win the Girls 11-12 years’ category and jump over Chloe Chiuri on the overall standings.
Ashley Gachora and Siqian Yu both finished on 6 over par 78 to settle for the second and third places.
The Girls 9-10 years’ category saw Avanti Bongu finish first ahead of Irene Asiyo and Aarna Mengi to secure the third place in the standings.
Mengi maintained the top spot with 193 points despite losing at Muthaiga. In the 8 & Under category, Njeri Ng’ang’a emerged victorious to take her tally to 235 atop the log.

Adam Nesbitt picked 60 points after winning at Muthaiga (7 over par 79) to take his total points tally to 200 to cement his place at the top of the standings for boys aged 12 years.
Despite winning the category for boys aged 11 years, XIA YU had to settle for the second place on the overall standings with 181 points as Ishnaan Patel kept the top spot with 193 points even though he finished third at Muthaiga.
In the boys aged 10 categories, Paren Reel lead Keith Masika to a 1-2 finish both for the Tour Championship as well as on the overall standings as Hakeem Mutungi won the boys aged 9 years’ category and kept the top spot as well on the standings.
James Tino played +3 over nine holes to win the Boys 8 years’ category followed by Surya Bongu, the two finishing in that order in the overall standings as Aryan Patel continued his dominance in the boys aged 7 years’ category.
