-Muzahim and Zaituni said this will indeed be a great time to interact and celebrate this joyous occasion marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

A large field of 160 players will this time be celebrating the public holiday in style by taking to the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club course in Mombasa County for the Inaugural ‘Eid’ Friday special golf tournament on Friday, March,21st.
This day that has been declared a public holiday by the Government to allow Muslims celebrate ‘Eid Ul Fitr’ will see he players bring out their best foot forward in this historic tournament coming to Mombasa County for the first time.
The 18 holes’ day long stable ford tournament that has attracted golfers from the home Club and others across the Country is organized by the Nyali Golf and Country Club (NGCC) community led by the Club Captain Muzahim Taib, assisted by the Club Lady Captain Zaituni Mohamed and the Club Golf Committee members led by Coast veteran senior golfer John Orioro.
It will be in the celebration spirit of ‘Eid al-Fitr’ for a day of sport, camaraderie and festive spirit to support the Muslim community who have been out of the course in the past 30 days due to fasting the holy month of ‘Ramadan.’
Club Captain Muzahim said the club is hosting the tournament to mark the end of the holy month of ‘Ramadan’ with a special inaugural of the tournament that has attracted massive support from the members and friends of the club.
“This first-ever ‘Eid’ holiday game aims to strengthen unity within the NGCC community while offering a memorable way to celebrate after a month of fasting and reflection. Organizers hope the event will grow into an annual tradition on the club’s calendar, “said Muzahim.

Club Lady Captain Zaituni said this tournament will indeed be a great time to interact and celebrate this joyous occasion marking the end of the holy month of ‘Ramadan’ and also extended invitation to fellow golfers to participate in large numbers.
“Alhamdulillah it’s has been a great month of devotion to God. We are now inviting our fellow golfers to join us in celebrating ‘Eid’, doing what we like most and I do encourage ladies’ golfers to put in the names and let’s have some fun, “said Zaituni.
And with the mixed pot of good players across the Men, Ladies, Seniors and Junior sections, coupled with handicap variations, it will be difficult to predict the winners still salivating for the various sterling prizes lined up for them, until after the 18th hole is done for the day.
