GOLF NEWS-Stellar Performances and Record Scores at the US Kids Golf Nairobi Fall Tour Stop at Thika Sports Club.

-The Thika event once again highlighted the Junior Golf Foundation’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting competitive golf experiences in a fun and family-oriented environment.
-The NCBA Nairobi Fall Local Tour proceeds to the sixth event at Royal Nairobi Golf Club on Sunday, 12th October 2025 with more excitement expected as the season progresses towards the 8th event and season finale in November.

The NCBA US Kids Golf Nairobi Fall Local Tour continued its exciting run at Thika Sports Club, delivering another weekend of exceptional golf, spirited competition and inspiring displays of young talent.
The tournament brought together some of Kenya’s most promising junior golfers, many of whom produced career-best performances on the challenging Thika layout.
The day’s most notable performance came from Hakeem Mutungi, who dominated the Boys 9 category with a remarkable 3-under-par round, a display of precision and composure that left the gallery in awe. Equally impressive was Adam Nesbitt, who conquered the 18-hole Boys 12 category with an outstanding 3-under 69 gross, further underlining his consistency and growing stature as one of the players to watch this season.
In the younger age groups, Bernard Maina took top honors in the Boys 6 & Under category with a score of +20, while Aryan Patel maintained his solid form to win the Boys 7 division at +6.
Surya Bongu, another familiar name on the leaderboard, captured the Boys 8 title, also finishing on +6.
Paren Reel continued his strong run with a +4 finish to win the Boys 10 category, while Ishaan Patel led the Boys 11 division on +6.
The Boys 13-14 category saw Kahir Ladak put together a composed round to claim victory with +5 and Saayan Shah triumphed in the Boys 15-18 division with +17, showcasing grit and determination throughout the round.
The girls’ divisions were equally competitive, led by Zowie Zyana, who claimed the Girls 8 & Under title with +5. Avanti Bongu was a standout in the Girls 9-10 category, carding an even-par round, one of the most consistent performances of the day.
Ashley Gachora impressed once again, finishing +1 to win the Girls 11-12 division while Chloe Chiuri continued her fine form, capturing the Girls 13-14 title with +10.
Thika Sports Club Vice-Captain George K’Ouma commented on the high level of play witnessed at Thika Sports Club.
“This tournament showed just how far junior golf in Kenya has come. From under-par rounds to incredible consistency across categories, our young golfers are proving their potential with every event. The dedication of players, parents, and coaches continues to make the US Kids Golf Tour a true celebration of the game, “said K’Ouma.
