Kenya Premier League side KCB FC will be back in action this weekend as the Bernard Mwalala-led team tackles seventh-placed Posta Rangers FC at the Sportpesa Arena in Murang’a County.
The Bankers have been impressive in the FKF-Cup cruising 4-2 past Kariobangi Sharks on penalties to set up a final date against Police FC later this month.

“The recent wins in the FKF-Cup are indeed a great confidence booster. As we approach the final matches of the season, maintaining that positive momentum and confidence will be crucial. We have trained well for Posta so, I believe we are in a strong position to compete effectively,” reckoned KCB FC Head Coach Bernard Mwalala.
With three matches left to play in the 2023/2024 Kenya Premier League season, KCB will be keen to bag maximum points against Posta, AFC Leopards and City Stars to finish at a respectable position in the log.

As it stands, the FKF-Cup finalists are sitting 11th in the table garnering 40 points after 31 matches played where the team has won once in the last five outings, picking a draw once while losing on three occasions.
The team played a friendly match against champions Gor Mahia over the weekend where they won 4-2 – Mwalala says his boys are oozing confidence after the victory.
“We won over a well-oiled team over the weekend so I believe we are in a good position to claim the three points against Posta Rangers. We know their threat in offense and defense but, we are ready to beat them. We anticipate a tough match. However, a win can only be the only foreseeable result,” added Mwalala.

At the back, goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo, Kevin Okumu, Haniff Wesonga, Francis Onyango, and Herit Mungai will feature for the Ruraka-based side.
