“We are ready to defend our title in Uganda and bring it back for the fourth consecutive time. The team has undergone intense training in preparation for the upcoming competition and we are confident that we will emerge the best,” said Songok.
The Uganda darts competitions will be the third for the Stima Darts Club this year, having successfully competed in Tanzania and South Africa.

In June, the club successfully defended its best team title for the third time at the Tanzania International Darts Open tournament that was held in Dodoma. Before this, the team had won in the men and ladies’ singles categories during the Africa Darts Continental tour that was held in Cape Town, South Africa.

Stima Darts Club is sponsored by Kenya Power. The Company is keen on growing sports talent through various sponsorships under its social welfare programs. During yesterday’s flag-off ceremony, Stima Darts Club presented its recently won trophies to Kenya Power.

“The Stima Darts Club has proven that they are the best in East Africa. The Company is proudly associated with the team and we shall keep on supporting them to achieve more. As they leave for Kampala, we wish them well and expect them to put their best foot forward in the highly competitive tournament,” said Kenya Power’s Principal Human Resource Officer, Faith Kaberenge.
