Following the announcement of Moët & Chandon’s return as the official Champagne of Formula 1, the Maison is pleased to unveil a special re-edition Celebratory Jeroboam at the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025.
This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter after many years of absence, as Moët & Chandon embarks on a prestigious 10-year partnership with Formula 1.
This effervescent masterpiece is an expression of achievement, tradition, and the collective triumph that binds us all.
The Celebratory Jeroboam is especially dedicated to the heart-pounding podium celebrations of each winning team, starting with Lando Norris and McLaren, who claimed victory in the first race of this season on Sunday, March 16th.
Sibylle Scherer, Moët & Chandon Chief Executive Officer (CEO) says, “We are proud to be back to Formula 1 and to be part of the incredible collective spirit that fuels it, the drivers, the teams, and the millions of passionate fans around the world who share in every exhilarating moment. We raise a toast to teamwork, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence. As we like to say at Moët & Chandon, victory is better when shared.”
The legacy of Moët & Chandon in motorsports began in 1936 when Tazio Nuvolari, after winning the Vanderbilt Cup, spontaneously took a sip from a Moët & Chandon Jeroboam and this iconic moment marked the beginning of a tradition steeped in joy and celebration.
In 1967, after triumphing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, an ecstatic Dan Gurney shook a Moët & Chandon Jeroboam until it burst, spraying the crowd and launching a tradition that has never failed to unite athletes and fans in exuberant celebration.
This year, Moët & Chandon once again brings podium celebrations to life, inviting the top three drivers and the winning Constructor to take center stage.
True to the Maison’s motto, “Life is better when shared”, these moments are transformed into collective experiences of joy and exaltation, emphasizing the emotional and human aspects of the sport. It is through these shared celebrations that the essence of Formula 1 is truly felt, bringing everyone together in a collective embrace of happiness and unity.
It all begins in “Parc Fermé”, bringing into the spotlight the teams who tirelessly work behind the scenes and push the limits of performance. Victory is never achieved alone.
Here, celebration transforms into a collective experience, uniting the driver and his team in a powerful moment of togetherness.
Moët & Chandon enhances this precious moment turning each victory into an unforgettable festivity filled with joy and triumph.
Then, in a deeply personal moment, the winning driver signs the Jeroboam, offering his triumph as a tribute, to his loved ones, his teams, and all those who have supported him on this relentless journey.
Following this, we move to the Corridor serves as the pathway that guides champions toward the Cool Down Room, where collective emotion is shared.
As they walk through this passage, every step is imbued with mounting anticipation and pride. These walls have seen the icons of the past pass by, creating an atmosphere charged with suspense and excitement.
It is within this walk of fame that the significance of their achievements truly starts to resonate, preparing them for the pinnacle of their journey.
The anticipation builds to a crescendo, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration of their triumphs.
The Cool Down Room, a place that transforms champions into icons.
The drivers watch the highlights of the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025, feeling the full impact of their triumph.
In this very room, they cross the threshold from competitors to legends, joining those whose names are forever linked in the story of Formula 1 with History being written in real time.
And then, the ultimate moment, the pinnacle of emotion, the podium, the noise is deafening, the energy electrifying and this is the moment of pure communion.
A celebration shared with the fans, the teams, the entire sport and it is here that emotions overflown, where victory is no longer individual but shared in a collective moment.
With excitement at its peak, the long-awaited ritual begins and the legendary Jeroboams of Moët Imperial are sprayed.
In a final breathtaking explosion of joy, the three drivers shower each other before turning to the roaring crowd and a celebration that unites us all.
The celebration of the renewed relationship between Moët & Chandon and the championship started earlier in the week, with the appearance of Moët & Chandon’s iconic, giant champagne cork-shaped hot air balloon ‘The Spirit of 1743’ sailing across Melbourne’s skies, it is at Albert Park that it will conclude its journey as bearer of joy, where the champagne spray will once again come alive with Moët & Chandon on the Podium.
For this important moment, Moët & Chandon reintroduces the historic Jeroboam, a symbol of victory and festivity on Formula 1 podiums from 1981 to 1997.
This legendary bottle has been signed and sprayed by racing greats like Sir Jackie Stewart, Ayrton Senna, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Mika Häkkinen, and Michael Schumacher, capturing moments of pure triumph and collective joy.
As Formula 1 celebrates its 75th anniversary, Moët & Chandon proudly presents the Celebratory Jeroboam, seamlessly connecting the past with the present.
This modern iteration of the original bottle design features two bold “MOËT” signatures above and below the label, as well as along the sides, creating a visual identity that resonates deeply with both racing insiders and fans.
The reintroduction of this Jeroboam pays tribute to the rich heritage of the Maison, inscribing each celebration in the annals of the sport.
This is not merely a nod to our history; it is a sincere homage to the spirit of collective celebration that characterizes Formula 1.
Every drop of champagne and every signature on the bottle embody the shared joy that Moët & Chandon brings to the podium.
It’s the ultimate communion with fans, teams, and beloves one, where our contribution shines through the unity of the three drivers on a single podium, united to experience deep and shared emotions.
This moment is a heartfelt celebration of collective joy, a testament to the bond that unites everyone in the passion of the sport.
