The team of Nick Murrey, comprising Silas Tanui, Lawi Kibi, and Philip Muigei, set the tone at the Eldoret Club over the weekend after emerging as the winning team with an impressive combined score of 104 points.
Their coordinated play, consistency, and course mastery saw them rise above a field of 122 Golfers to book their slot in the tour’s grand finale slated for December 5 th, at the Karen Country Club in Nairobi.
Speaking after their victory, team captain Nick Murrey praised the unity and resilience of his teammates saying, “We came in with one mission, to enjoy our game and support each other on every shot. The course was challenging, but our teamwork carried us through. Winning on our home ground makes it even more special.”
Their closest challengers, the team of Elvis Kimeres, Kigen Limo, and Angeline Limo, delivered an equally impressive performance to finish Runner-up with 103 points, narrowly missing the crown in a closely contested battle.
In the individual categories, Caleb Tum dominated the field to clinch the overall winner title with 42 points, demonstrating remarkable consistency throughout the round. Livingstone Adema topped the men’s division with 40 points, while Mary Kiptoo secured the Lady Winner title after posting 42 points.
Spectators were treated to thrilling displays of power and precision as Gilbert Koech claimed the Longest Drive Men title and Ruth Kandie took the Longest Drive Ladies crown.
Koros Kiptoo earned the Nearest to the Pin award with a superbly precise shot.
In the invited guests category, Koech Cheruiyot emerged victorious with 30 points while among staff, Prisca Chebet led the standings with 29 points, followed by Millicent Mello with 22 points as the Staff runner-up.
The junior competition showcased rising talent, with Kimutai Kiprop impressing his way to the Junior winner title after scoring 38 points.
