The 2026 NCBA Golf Series is set to tee off this Saturday, January 31, at the Royal Nairobi Club, marking the first of a busy calendar of events in the series lined up for the year across East Africa.
280 golfers will take part in the opening event of the 2026 campaign, competing in the competition’s stable ford format, as they aim to be crowned winners across various categories.
Teenage sensation Cherono Kipkorir will be out to get her third win in the series, having emerged as the Overall Gross lady winner during the club’s 2021 and 2025 qualifying legs.
The 2026 NCBA Golf Series was launched on Thursday, January 15, the 2026 NCBA Golf Series at the Karen Country Club and will aim to build on five successful editions that have positioned NCBA as the leading corporate supporter of golf across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

Junior player Cherono Kipkorir has won the Overall Gross Lady category in the series twice, in 2021 and in 2025, and we are looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us this year. This course provides a fantastic platform to start our journey, and we are thrilled to welcome 280 Golfers for what promises to be a memorable tournament. The series has grown significantly over the years, and we are excited about what’s to come in this year’s edition. We look forward to engaging with Golfers and fans across the region as we continue to grow the sport,” said Gachora.

As part of its broader vision, NCBA renewed key partnerships with the Kenya Golf Union (KGU) and the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) for 2026, committing over Ksh. 60 million for the 2026 activities.
Under the renewed partnership, KGU will receive Ksh 6 million to support the 2026 Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) Series, which teed off earlier in January at Sigona.
The Junior Golf Foundation will receive Ksh. 12 million to support Junior Golf events throughout the year, focusing on nurturing young talent and expanding access to the game.
A total of 35 events, including 13 main qualifiers, 14 Mugs, and 2 Club Nites, will be held in Kenya in the series this year, with Uganda hosting three, Rwanda two and Tanzania one.
