“On behalf of the Board and the entire Jamu Imaging Foundation family, I sincerely thank you for making today a memorable occasion. As we gather this evening to celebrate our golfers, recognize our winners and appreciate our partners, we must remember that today’s tournament was about much more than the game. It was about bringing people together around a cause that touches families, communities and the future of our nation. Tonight, we celebrate not only the winners on the golf course, but also the spirit of generosity, compassion and collective responsibility that brought us together, “said Adala.
He congratulates all golfers for their participation, sportsmanship and enthusiasm saying, “To those who have emerged as winners in the various categories, congratulations on your well-deserved achievements. We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments as we present the trophies this evening. To those who did not take home a trophy, you are equally important to this cause. Your participation, contribution and commitment have helped make this tournament a success. In a tournament dedicated to maternal health, every participant is a winner because every contribution brings us closer to our shared goal.”
He extended his heartfelt appreciation to Nyali Golf Club for hosting this tournament and providing a platform where the passion for golf meets the power of giving, sponsors, corporate partners, individual donors and well-wishers, for standing with JIF and supporting this worthy cause.
“To the organizing committee, volunteers, service providers and everyone who worked behind the scenes, we recognize your dedication and hard work. Events such as this require careful planning, teamwork and a shared commitment to a common purpose. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, “noted Adala.
The Chairman explained that pregnancy and childbirth should be occasions of joy, hope and celebration, yet, for many women, the journey to motherhood remains fraught with challenges, including limited access to quality healthcare, financial barriers, delayed referrals and complications that could be prevented or managed with timely medical attention.
“Every mother deserves the opportunity to give birth safely. Every newborn deserves a healthy start in life. And every family deserves the reassurance that their loved ones can access the care they need when it matters most, “noted the Chairman.
Adala said that at JIF, they believe that improving maternal health requires collective action. Governments, healthcare professionals, development partners, businesses, community organizations and individuals all have a role to play.
“Today’s tournament demonstrates what can happen when people unite behind a common purpose. By using sport as a platform for philanthropy, we have brought together individuals and organizations willing to contribute their time, resources and influence towards improving the well-being of mothers and babies. Our hope is that the Second Nyali Charity Golf Tournament will contribute to practical, meaningful efforts that improve maternal healthcare and strengthen support for vulnerable mothers and families,” noted Adala.
He said that as JIF they remain committed to advancing initiatives that promote community health, education, livelihoods and the well-being of those who need support most, while recognizing that lasting change is achieved not through isolated efforts, but through sustained partnerships and a shared sense of responsibility.
“As we celebrate this evening, I encourage us to look beyond the trophies, the scores and the day’s achievements. Let us reflect on the difference we can make when we combine our individual efforts towards a greater good. To our sponsors and partners, may this engagement mark the beginning of even stronger collaboration. To our golfers, we hope to welcome you back for future editions of this tournament. To our friends and supporters, we invite you to remain part of this journey as we continue to champion maternal health,” said Adala.
He said the true measure of our success will ultimately be found in the lives we touch, the families we support and the opportunities we help create for mothers and newborns.
“Our message remains clear: every mother deserves a safe birth, every newborn deserves a healthy beginning, and every contribution counts,” noted the Chairman.
Ladies and gentlemen,
He expressed his sincere gratitude to each one for making this second tournament a success, Thanking all for their generosity, participation and belief in the work of JIF.
“To all our winners, congratulations once again. May your achievements inspire continued excellence, friendship and sportsmanship. I wish you all an enjoyable evening as we share a meal, celebrate our achievements, recognize our winners and strengthen the friendships and partnerships forged on the golf course today.
Let us continue to swing for life, give with compassion and work together for safer motherhood. Thank you, and may God bless you all,” said the Chairman.
He concluded by announcing that the Kisumu county Deputy Governor Owili will be leading a team of golfers next month of November, as a champion of health in the Kisumu County for a similar tournament and medical camp.
