Home Club’s handicap 15 Anthony Juma carded 41 points to emerge the Member winner of Karibu Homes Golf Tournament played at the nine hole Machakos Country Golf Club on Saturday,4th,March,2023.
Daniel Salaton playing off handicap 27 claimed the runner up slot with 39 points.
Handicap 32 Milka Wanjiku won the Lady’s prize after returning a score of 33 points beating handicap 12 Nancy Kariuki to the runners up slot by a three points difference.
The Guest prize on 41 points was won by handicap 26 Bernard Nyagechi and handicap 9 Michael Rotich settled for the runners up slot after carding 37 points.
Club Captain Peter Kimatu lauded golfers for attending in large numbers and asked them to prepare for more tournaments that has been lined up in the next coming weeks.
At par 73 Njoro Golf Club in the same day ,Virginia Njenga emerged the overall winner in the Club’s Lady Captain’s (Ooterwijk Catherine) Prize Golf Tournament
The handicap 38 Njenga carded an excellent 48 stable ford points to take the day’s victory and register her maiden victory of the year.
“I enjoyed the fairways a lot having practiced many times recently and my swing was there today, I am happy for this win and also intend to build on this win in the tournaments to come and see where this goes,”said Njenga.
The daylong 18 holes tournament hosted by the Club to bid farewell to the outgoing Lady Captain Ooterwijk Catherine after serving the Club for the last twelve months.
It was sponsored by Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) and brought together a field of over 60 Golfers from Nakuru County and its environs, Guests and friends of the sponsor with valid handicaps.
Betty Kisoi was the runners up on 44 points while taking the third slot was Irene Ashioya with a count back score of 42 points.
The day’s Gross winner was John Numi who had 74 gross and the Sponsor Dr. Kennedy Nyakomitta was rewarded best effort prize.
