GOLF NEWS-All roads leads to the 9th Edition of the ICEA LION king of the course 2025 golf series at Nanyuki.

-A robust field of over 140 players from across the Country will grace the tournament where sterling prizes have been lined up for the winners.

All roads lead to the foothills of Mt. Kenya this weekend for the highly anticipated 4th leg of the ICEA LION King of the course golf series at the Nanyuki Sports cub course on Saturday of 8th March 2025.
Several professionals and juniors have been invited and will be participating in this year’s events including the 2025 Nanyuki leg that has attracted a robust field of over 140 players from across the Country.

The tournament follows the resounding success of the Machakos, Thika Greens, and Ruiru tournaments that kicked off on 4th January 2025.


Speaking on the state of the course, Michael Mwirigi, Golf Captain of Nanyuki Sports Club has expressed confidence in the current state of the course, affirming its excellent condition, elegant facilities, good food, and the warm welcome providing picturesque views of Mt. Kenya.

Captain of ICEA LION King of the Course golf series Joe Mboya said, “The Grand Winner of the ICEA LION 2024 King of the Course series will be participating in the 2025 Lekoa Classic which will be played at the Emfuleni Golf Estate and Heron Banks Golf and River Estate both ranked the premium golf courses in RSA. The format of the tournament is individual Stable ford over two days 28th & 29th March 2025. Both golf courses are on the Vaal River in the town of Vanderbijlpark-South Africa.”
The golf circuit, a key fixture in ICEA LION’s strategic objectives of customer-centricity and continuous brand engagement, will progress to Kericho and Nandi Bears on 30th & 31st May 2025, culminating in the grand finale at Nyali on 25th October 2025.

ICEA LION Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Philip Lopokoiyit expressed enthusiasm about hosting customers and stakeholders at this year’s ICEA LION King of the Course tournaments.


“We have progressed well seeing as we have consistently broken our records in each tournament, we look forward to an even grander affair at Nanyuki this weekend which will be preceded by a special curtain raiser club night at The Nyeri Golf Club, as we continue to celebrate excellence and provide a platform for meaningful engagement with our clients and stakeholders across Kenya and specifically in the Mount Kenya region, “Said Lopokoiyit.
