KCB RFC Head Coach Andrew Amonde has urged his team to step up at the Tisap 7s in Eldoret this weekend as the end of this year’s National Sevens Circuit beckons.

The Bankers will have to cope with the absence of Samuel Asati, Elvis Olukusi, Festus Shiasi, Austin Sikutwa and Vincent Onyala who have been called to the National Team for upcoming competitions.

Forward Trevor Odawa has been handed his first outing with the team since the start of the National Sevens Circuit and will lead KCB’s attack alongside Elphas Adunga, Levy Amunga, Eugene Omondi, and Bob Muhati.

“We are two points behind circuit leaders Kabras, so this outing poses a good challenge for us to cut the deficit. With five of our players currently out on national duty, we are banking on our squad depth to compete against our opponents this weekend. Our aim is to sit at the summit ahead of the last leg of the series in Nairobi,” noted KCB RFC Coach, Andrew Amonde.
Other notable names who will be in the traveling squad include Brian Wahinya, Mike Wanjala, Elvis Namusasi, and Isaac Njoroge.

Winger Edmund Anya is still out with an injury he sustained at the Prinsloo 7s in Nakuru.
The technical team includes Andrew Amonde (Head Coach), Mariko Mshila (Backs Coach), Denis Mwanja (Assistant coach), Shameer Mshila (strength and conditioning coach), and Philip Wamae (Team Manager).
