-Ruiru Sports Club made history made history last weekend as it hosted its first ever NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Local Tour tournament, bringing together 86 players across different categories ranging from 6 to 18 years old.

The second leg of the NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Fall Local Tour is set to take place on Sunday, August 24th, at the VetLab Sports Club.
The event which is jointly organized by U.S. Kids Golf and the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) Kenya is expected to attract over 100 junior golfers aged between 5 and 18 years, both boys and girls.
The tournament provides a crucial platform for junior players to refine their skills and compete in age-appropriate categories, with the opportunity to qualify for prestigious international tournaments such as the U.S. Kids Golf Regional Invitational and Regional Championship events through the accumulation of Priority Status points.

Last weekend, the Ruiru Sports Club made history as it hosted its first ever NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Local Tour tournament, bringing together 86 players across different categories ranging from 6 to 18 years old.
In Ruiru, Hakeem Mutungi played two under par to clinch the Boys 9 category, a remarkable performance that stood out as one of the day’s highlights.
Notably, of the 86 players, 12 juniors from the Limuru Children’s Centre, highlighting the inclusivity and developmental focus of the championship.
