CROSSROADS-Anand Thakker stuns 170 players to claim the 2026 Crossroads Charity title at Nyali.

-The Annual Crossroad Fellowship Charity Golf Tournament has become a key fundraiser for Crossroads Fellowship’s community programs, which support vulnerable families, education and health initiatives around Nairobi.


-The tournament committee of Sanjay Kotecha, John Orioro, Saj Shah, Aamil Mughal, Fred Kamau and Kailesh Chauhan praised the turnout and the spirit of giving that defined the day.
-Club Captain Muzzahim Taib said the tournament has grown into one of the Club’s flagship charity days, noting that Crossroads Fellowship is doing life-changing work, and as a Club they are proud to host every year.

Anand Thakker fired a superb 44 points to claim the overall winner’s title as 170 players turned up for the Annual Crossroad Fellowship Charity Golf tournament played at the par 71 Nyali Golf & Country Club course in Mombasa County on Saturday.
Playing off handicap 18, Thakker held off a strong field in perfect conditions to take the top prize presented by Pastor Jim of Crossroads Fellowship.
“It feels amazing to win on a day like this,” Thakker said after receiving his trophy. “Crossroads does incredible work in the community and to be able to contribute while also playing good golf is a real blessing. I just stayed patient, hit fairways, and the putts dropped. I’m grateful to the organizers, my playing partners and everyone who came out to support this cause,” said Thakker.
In the Men’s category, Zayan Din took top honors with 40 points off handicap 7 while the runner-up spot went to Wilson Rading on a two way count back score of 39 points c/b, tying with Kalamu Choyo who was third and fourth placed Mansoor Pirbhai finished fourth, also on 39 points.
Truphena Oyaro was the standout in the ladies’ draw, winning with 43 points off handicap 16 and the prize was presented by NCBA/Liberta as handicap 32 Eunice Masila settled for the runner-up slot with 40 points.
Junior golf was well represented with Nikki Pattni winning the Junior category with 43 points off handicap 31.
Experience counted in the Senior division where Murtaza Saeed, playing off 26, won with 36 points and the prize was presented by Chiromo Hospital.
Brijesh Pattni won the High Handicappers category with 43 points off handicap 35, also sponsored by Chiromo Hospital.
In the skill prizes, Qamar Naqvi won Nearest to the Line, while Fredrick Obonyo came closest to the pin at 1 feet away from the 18th hole and both prizes were presented by Khushi Motors.

Crossroads representative Pastor Jim Crossroads noted that with 170 players and ball pools of 5 golf balls each, the day exceeded expectations both on and off the course.
“We are overwhelmed by the support. Every shilling raised today goes directly to feeding programs, school fees and medical support. To see golfers, corporates and friends come together like this gives us hope, “said Pastor Jim.

We had large numbers of players today, families, sponsors and volunteers all coming together for a purpose bigger than the game. Crossroads Fellowship is doing life-changing work, and as a club we are proud to host every year. The course was in great shape, the competition was fierce, and the generosity we saw today was humbling. To all our sponsors and to Pastor Jim and his team, asante sana,” said Taib.
The 18 holes’ tournament was played in a Stable ford format and drew sponsorship from among others NCBA, Shikara Limited, Chiromo Hospital, Mika, Khushi Motors, Wamuku Mohamed Advocates, Satao Camp, Security Systems, Muthaiga Court, AIB, Friends of the Crossroad and Voyagers Beach Resort.
