Home club’s Moses Namuye partnered with Dr. Tobias Khoi in producing an excellent 45 stable ford points to merge the overall team winner of the Men green-some golf tournament played at the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club course in Mombasa county on Saturday.

This is the success of hours’ effort that went into practice and today is the fruits. We look forward to more success and thank you all, “said Namuye and Dr. Khoi.
An estimated 113 players graced the daylong 18 holes’ tournament organized and supported by Nyali Golf and Country club in a daylong 18 holes’ tournament that brought the golfers from various places around the Coast and beyond.
It saw Gurbax Singh and his son Tanraj Singh claim the second spot on 43 points, two points ahead of third placed team of Thusara De Silva and Reaz Alibhai.
William Kamau and Alex Macharia were the guest team winners after returning a score of 32 points.
In the Ladies green-some, it was Navinder Kaur and Nancy Gathunga calling shots after recording 42 points to emerge the ladies team winners.
Veteran lady golfer Florence Karimi who teamed up with Betty Bundotich were the team runners up on a count back score of 41 points after tying on the same points with the third placed team of German based Kenyan lady golfer Joyce Radtke and Rose Kinyanjui.
Sandra Githere from Mombasa golf club was the guest team winner on 38 points teaming up with Rose Catherine while Saina Odhiambo and Janet Ouma brought 36 points to emerge the best caddy team winners.

The club’s newly elected Chairman Jayne Githere, flanked by her captain Omar Lewa and Lady captain Hildah Mugure appreciated the golfers for honoring to turn up in large numbers for the tournament.
She urged the club members to continue practicing more often in preparation of more forthcoming corporate tournament lined in the club’s calendar.
“Please lets often continue coming to the club more often for practice, improve our game and get to understand well the course in preparation of more coming tournaments, “said Githere.
Githere also thanked the members for electing them into office and promised that their continued support, corporation and team work will place the club much higher.
