Action moves to Western Kenya where players are battling for the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) Series in the NCBA Goldfields Trophy Golf tournament at Kakamega Sports Club.
A large number of 71 players are competing for valuable ranking points from Friday, 19th to Sunday, 21st, June 2026, in the national amateur circuit, with the prize money standing at Ksh. 500,000.
The three-day championship has drawn players from across the country, highlighting the growing competitiveness of the KAGC Series and the continued support of amateur golf development through NCBA’s sponsorship.
Among the players registered 70 are Men while Faith Chemutai will be the sole lady Golfer in the field as she seeks to make her mark against a strong lineup of competitors.
The tournament features several standout performers who have enjoyed success on the 2026 KAGC calendar.
Among those expected to headline the field are, Elvis Muigua, the winner of the NCBA Ronald Marshall & Tony Gibson Tournament, Amos Odongo, the champion of the NCBA Masaku Inaugural Open, Elly Limo, winner of the NCBA Winston Churchill Tournament and John Kamaisi, the champion of the NCBA Kiambu Open.
The presence of recent tournament winners is expected to add further excitement to the
competition as players’ battle for top honors and crucial ranking points in the race for KAGC season accolades.
