The iconic Nyali Golf & Country Club, home of the swinging monkeys and ocean breezes, is bracing for one of its busiest, most colorful weekends in recent memory.
The stage is set, the greens are manicured to perfection, and the stakes have never been higher, a non-stop three-day golf carnival from 23rd Friday 23rd to 25th Sunday 25th October that blends corporate networking, Diwali sparkle and heartfelt memorial charity.
It is a weekend where golf truly meets the Coast, meets culture, and meets compassion at the par 71 course in Mombasa county.
The action tees off on 23rd Friday, with the Sanlam/Allianz Corporate Golf Day under the theme “Where Golf Meets the Coast”.
The blue-chip insurance giants have partnered with Nyali for a premium corporate showdown that will bring together CEOs, executives, and top amateur talent from across the Coast and beyond.
It is not just about birdies and bogeys; it is about deals sealed on the fairways and friendships forged over 18 holes and the course, with its palm-lined fairways and challenging water hazards, promises a stern test.
Then, the lights get brighter on 24th Saturday, with the Diwali Golf Tournament that takes centre stage and if Friday is corporate, Saturday is pure fireworks and the prizes prove it.
In a stunning announcement that has sent ripples through Kenya’s golfing fraternity, the Club has lined up FIVE massive Hole-In-One prizes.
On the iconic 18th hole, a Brand New Mahindra Scorpio N, courtesy of Simba Corp., growth evolved – awaits the golfer who can conjure perfection, on the tricky par-3 6th hole, a Toyota Raize 2020 sponsored by Cars R Us (K) Ltd is up for grabs.
But the generosity does not stop with cars and under the “Other Hole-In-One Prizes” category, Cars R Us (K) Ltd is also offering a Raleigh Bike 400cc on Hole No. 3, a Raleigh Bike 250cc on Hole No. 10 and a Raleigh Scooter 150cc on Hole No. 15, and that is five chances to drive or ride, home in glory.
And when the dust settles, the weekend closes with soul and purpose on Sunday, 25th October with The Tamarind Group Christopher Seex Memorial Golf Tournament.
This is more than a tournament, it is a 54-year legacy, marking 54 Years of Tamarind, the event, with a modest entry fee of just Ksh. 2,000, promises great prizes to be won.
All proceeds from this event will go to the Vipingo Village Fund and KSPCA Mombasa and Organizers have put out a passionate call- “The COUNTDOWN has started! Don’t miss out.”

Club Captain Muzzahim Taib, preparations have been intense and meticulous to ensure Nyali delivers a world-class experience across all three days.
“We have never had such a packed weekend. From Friday’s Corporate Day with Sanlam Allianz, to Saturday’s glittering Diwali with cars and superbikes on every other par-3, to Sunday’s deeply sentimental Seex Memorial for Tamarind’s 54th anniversary, we are ready. The course is in immaculate condition and our team is working round the clock. We expect over 300 golfers across the three days. This is Nyali at its best, competitive golf, big prizes, and big heart,” said Taib.

Lady Captain Zaituni Mohamed is excited about the ladies’ field for the weekend showdown, which is expected to attracts one of the largest ladies’ draws on the Coast.
“Our ladies are fired up and ready. This is special weekend for us, the colors, the lights, the family atmosphere. This year, with a Scorpio N and a Raize on offer, plus the Raleigh bikes, the ladies are practicing extra hard on those par-3s. We expect large numbers of ladies who have already confirmed. We want to show that at Nyali, the ladies not only grace the fairways but can also win the big machines. Karibuni sana,” said Zaituni.
Beyond the Hole-In-One drama, insiders hint at dozens of other prizes including four-balls, electronics, holiday vouchers, and Diwali hampers, plus live entertainment, Nyama Choma, and an evening-view sunset prize-giving that Nyali is famous for.
For golf fans, players, and sponsors, the message is clear, ‘Book your accommodation, charge your GPS watches and polish your wedges. Whether you are a single-handicapper eyeing that Scorpio N on 18, a corporate star networking on Friday, or a veteran playing for charity on Sunday in memory of Christopher Seex, Nyali Golf & Country Club is the place to be this Weekend.
It will be busy, it will be competitive, it will be unforgettable.
Welcome to the weekend Nyali Golf Festival.
