“I am honored today as the winner of this prestigious tournament and would like to express my gratitude to the organizers, sponsors, and everyone who made this event possible. The course was challenging, but all was top-notch. I am also proud to be part of this Golfing community and look forward in continuing to grow and promote the Sport in Mombasa. I also hope to see you all on the greens again soon, “said Chauhan.

Club Captain Omar Lewa acknowledged the players for turning up in large numbers for the success of the tournament.
“The day has been a celebration of Golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship that was displayed by all of you through excellence, teamwork, and the pursuit of par. Let’s continue to appreciate the beauty of the game, the memories we created and here’s to many more rounds to come,” said Lewa.
KPA Managing Director Captain William Ruto noted that the day’s event marked their second corporate golf tournament in the year, coming after the recent Nairobi tournament at Muthaiga and expressed gratitude to the participants and the organizers for ensuring the growing popularity of the Sport.
“We are indeed grateful for the gesture which underscores the importance of our close partnership with
the Club, which is one of the few places where even the most seasoned CEOs quietly pray that the ball listens to instructions. At the port we are used to guiding 300-metre plus vessels through tight channels, yet none of us has ever managed to convince a golf ball to avoid the trees with the same precision. But that is the beauty of this game- patience, accuracy, discipline and sometimes a bit of luck. The same ingredients that make a port not just operational, but efficient, competitive, and trusted across the region, “noted Ruto.
He pointed out that the tournament was more than a sporting event and a reminder of the relationships and partnerships that shape the success of the ports and ultimately the Country’s economy.
“The same way no Golfer succeeds alone; no port thrives without the collaboration of its stakeholders.
So as we wrap up today’s rounds, some of them excellent, others character-building, I want to thank each of you for your continued trust and support and wish everyone a fruitful networking and better scores again, if the Golf gods permit, “said Ruto.
