Kiambu Golf Cub currently leads in the Club of the year 2023 trophy followed by Golf Park and Vet Lab sports Club;

Kiambu’s Michael Karanga currently leads in the 2023 Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) ranking after the Railway’s Invitational Golf tournament that ended a the par 72 Kenya Railways Golf Club course in Nairobi County on Sunday,7th,May,2023.
Karanga has collected a total of 534.4 points from the eight tournaments in the ongoing 26 series from the 2023 Calendar of events organized by the Kenya Golf union (KGU).
His lead came after he was crowned the 2023 Champion of the Railways Invitational golf tournament with a combined total of 212 gross to emerge the overall winner and bagged Ksh.108, 600 as the winning prize money.
Karanga will now be going with his heads high to next event at Njoro Country Club from 20th to 21st May ,2023 for the Ronald Marshall and Tobby Gibson Cup and also look forward to play well in the remaining series before the grand finals expected to be held at Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa in December where the Golfer of year 2023 will be crowned.
“Iam focused and continue to train hard in preparation for the coming events. All eyes including my Club are set on me and I can assure them that this time round, thy will not be disappointed, “said Karanga.
The Railway’s tourney jointly sponsored by NCBA,Crown paints, Telkom, and Kenya Railways, was Karanga’s fourth victory after winning the Sigona Bowl, Windsor Churchill and the Muthaiga open in the ongoing KGU golf series being played across the Country that has attracted top leading Amateurs both across the Country and beyond.
Kenya Railway’s John Lejirma and Junior Elvis Muigua with a total of 319.2 and 152.6 points respectively are the currently placed second and third.
Lejirma who was the Winston Churchill Champion and Home Club’s player emerged the runners up with a total of 223 gross (70-76-77) and walked home with Ksh.65,200 in the Railway’s tourney.
And Kiambu Golf Club currently takes lead of the 2023 Club of year trophy ranking after the Railway’s Invitational Tourney on a total 356 points.
Golf Park Golf Club follows with a total of 312 points and taking the current third position is Vet Lab Sports Club on a total of 288 points.
