The 5th Leg of the ongoing NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Fall Local Tour-Nairobi, brought together more than 120 boys and girls aged between 6 and 18 years old for a day of competitive golf, learning and family bonding at Migaa Golf Estate in Kiambu County on Sunday.
The 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by David Jones, turned into a hub of junior golf excellence that offered a fair but technical test for juniors through its irrigated fairways, water hazards and challenging greens inside the 774-acre gated estate.

In the elite Boys 15-18 years’ category, played over 18 holes off championship tees, Tsorav Soni delivered the lowest round of the day carding 76 gross to emerge Boys the winner ahead of Wahome Mutahi with 78 gross and third placed Amar Shah who had 80 gross.
In Boys 13-14 years’ group, Shuhan Peng took the lead on75 gross while Joven Reel with 83 gross and Adam Nesbitt with 85 gross were the runners up and third placed respectively.
The Boys 12 years’ side saw Ishaan Patel toping after posting 75gross as Jerome Njuguna sat for the runners up on 84 gross beating Mikhail Ladak to the third slot by 6 strokes difference.
Cayleb Kebathi brought 81 gross to win in the Boys 11 years’ category followed by Keith Maika who had 89 gross and Nathan Mwai was third after recording 90 gross.
There was also a tight among the girls where Shani De Souza carded 88 gross to emerge the winner in the 15 to 18 years’ group, while Pearl Wanzau on 118 gross and Kalendi Ndambuki with 122 gross were the runners up and third respectively.
The Girls 13 to 14 years’ side had Ashley Gachora taking the lead on 83 gross beating Shani Karimi to the runners up slot by a single stroke difference and Zianna Khoda emerged third on 88 gross.
Leticia Asiyo took command of the Girls 11 to 12 years by clinching the top spot on 78 gross, as Irene Mwangale on 80 gross and Avanti Bongu wih 89 gross emerged runners up and third respectively.

We saw some impressive golf today. Every single player who teed off today did an amazing job showing up. They competed well and represented their clubs themselves and their families with discipline and courage. As we all know, in golf, the scorecard tells only part of the story. For today, the rest will remain in the Migaa fairways and greens. I want to thank NCBA once again for a partnership that continues to prove its worth season after season. Mbandi’s mention of an interuniversity league is a new development. Migaa is working with university golfers to create a competitive bridge between junior golf and senior amateur golf, a gap that has seen many talented juniors drop off after high school.
The Fall Local Tour now heads into its final legs before the Tour Championship, where double points will be awarded to determine who moves into the top 10 of each age group standings and who qualifies for international invitational in the U.S., Europe and Africa.
