-Ruiru Sports Club will host a Club Nite on Thursday, July 17th, as a curtain-raiser for the highly anticipated Accountants golf tournament scheduled for Saturday, July 19th at the lush green course in Kiambu County.

Handicap 19 golfer Peter Nuthu emerged as the overall winner of the Lady Captain’s (Rodah Mukami) Swing tournament at Ruiru Golf Club after carding an impressive 37 stable ford points to claim top honors in a field of 200 golfers.
“It is a great feeling to come out on top in such a competitive field. Golf teaches you patience, resilience, and belief, and today, it all came together. I dedicate this win to every golfer out there chasing consistency and excellence, “said Nuthu.
Trailing him was handicap 15 golfer Patrick Kimanga who put up a strong fight but settled for second place overall with a count back score of 35 points, tying on the same score with second placed John Baptista in the tightly contested tournament.
In the ladies’ category, peerless handicap 29 golfer Beth Ngugi returned a solid 35 points to secure the win.
She was closely followed by seasoned golfer Esther Kimani, playing off handicap 3, who returned 34 points to take the runner-up spot.
In the guest category, handicap 35 golfer Peris Mwangi claimed victory with 36 points while the juniors’ prize went to Wilson Mwangi (handicap 9) who posted 29 points and Susan Gachina, playing off handicap 39 topped the division category with 18 points.
Other standout performances included handicap 12 golfer Paul Kungu who bagged the men first nine award after posting an impressive 19 points and handicap 10 Erastus Thoronjo matched that effort to win the second nine with 19 points as well while in the ladies’ segment, Pauline Mungai, playing off handicap 17 also returned 19 points to clinch the first nine Ladies’ prize
