It was smiles and blessing for home Club’s Hirani Suresh beating a team of 127 golfers to record his maiden season Victory in the Club’s Hon.Treasurer’s (Yobesh Oyaro) Mini Masters Golf Tournament played at the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club Course in Mombasa County on Saturday.
The handicap 21 Hirani rounded up the day long 18holes event with a solid 42 stable ford points to emerge the overall winner to open the season on a high note with lots of expectation.
“The course is playing well with my four ball partners making the day great out there. This win is a positive way that given me a lot of hope and encouragements while looking forward to the forth coming tournaments with lots of hope, “said Hirani.
Handicap 18 Shah Saj brought a count back score of 39 points to claim the Runners up spot after tying on the same score with third placed handicap 10 Dahir Awdeer.
William Kaguta playing off handicap 2 remains unbeatable when he recorded his second win of the season after producing a five over par 76 gross to emerge the Best gross winner.
Handicap 40 Rossette Abdallah with a good score of 40 points was the Best High handicapper’s winner while handicap 10 A.J.Molu on 22 points and handicap 23 Sam Muraya with 23 points were the Best first and second nine winners respectively.
And at Machakos Country Club course on the same day, Kimanzi Muthengi playing off handicap 23 returned 40 points to emerge the Member winner of the December and January Babies golf tournament.
He beat handicap 14 Bernard Mutua to the Runners up slot with a single point difference as handicap 28 Robert Muli carded 37 points to sit third while taking the fourth slot on 37 points was handicap 26 Maruti Litali.
The Guest winner’s prize on 40 points was won by handicap 28 Kipkurui while handicap 14 Kibet Too on 37 points and handicap 19 Michael Kinuthia with 35 points were the runners up and third placed respectively.
Catherin Wambui playing off handicap 11 returned a count back score of 32 points to emerge the Lady winner displacing handicap 33 Mercy Nderitu to the runners up slot after both recorded the same score.
The senior winner on 37 points was claimed by handicap 15 Gen.Musomba and the Sponsor winner’s prize with 35 points was won by handicap 19 S.K.Theuri.
There were enough prizes for golfers as those above handicap 29 plus men and 37 plus for Women ladies who were also awarded.
Handicap 32 Philip Kibet was among them emerging the Men winner on 42 points beating handicap 39 Eng.Okemwa to the runners up slot by a single point difference.
The Lady winner’s prize on 38 points was claimed by handicap 42 Linda Mwewa as handicap 54 Alexandiria Itumbi emerged runners up on 30m points.
Collins kaloki playing off handicap 20 with 20 points and handicap 30 Ben Siro on 20 points were the first and Second nine winners respectively.
Ben Mutua walked home with the Longest drive prize for Men and the same for lady was claimed by Christine Makela while Jones Nzau was the Nearest to the Pin winner.
