The JGF President Madam Regina Gachora Congratulated the Winners for their commitment and efforts shown during the tournament.
“The Scores are getting better and better. Very Well-done Shashwat and Belinda and a Big Congratulations to you, the future is truly looking bright. I would also like to announce that Belinda has earned her WAGR and will now be ranked among the best globally. The move towards 50 WAGR ranked Junior Players in Kenya is slowly and surely becoming a reality. I would also like to recognize and Congratulate Nathan Mwangi (71) and Krish Shah (69), underscores while self-caddying in a WAGR tournament during their 3rd and 4th rounds respectively, quite commendable and our golf development programs results are now being seen by the performance shown by our junior golfers,” said Gachora.
The JGF Vice-President Vincent Mukiri appreciated Vet Lab Sports Club, the Parents, Coaches and the Juniors for a wonderfully organized and well-run tournament.
“The juniors have done well over the 4 rounds. This is a testament to the work that is being done by the coaches in the different golf clubs and also in the national elite training program. 4 boys and 3 girls have gotten entry to the World Amateur Golf Rankings courtesy of participation in the WAGR -ranked tournaments. The tournaments not only contribute to WAGR but also add to the JGF Order of Merit and support our quest to be in the 2028 Olympics,” said Mukiri.
Focus now shifts to The Limuru Junior Open to be held on the 4th-6th of August 2024 at Limuru Country Club.
