It’s now business as usual as Kenya Railways services (SGR) known as Madaraka express shuttling between Nairobi to Mombasa through Voi has boosted Tourism activities around Taita Hills Sanctuary in Taita Taveta County.
This is according to latest travel trends by Johua Seki Awili who is also the Sales Manager of Saltlick safari Lodge and Taita Hills Safari Resort and Spa in Taita Taveta County.
Awili noted that this is one of the best things that ever happened to Tsavo as a holiday destination with the introduction of the 3pm Madaraka Express Train that stops over in Voi.
“Amazingly, it’s only Voi Train station that enjoys the traffic with a stopover from Mombasa at 1630hrs, and from Nairobi, passengers can now alight at Voi terminus at 1840hrs,”said Awili.
He pointed out of being fascinated by how movements between Mombasa and Voi have been made easy.
